More-Than-Human Design in Practice

We are amid a »more-than-human turn« in design research that spans the humanities and draws upon diverse theories, ontologies, and epistemologies. This transformative wave is driven by global-scale wicked problems, an interest in decolonisation agendas, the need to establish new, more equitable, sustainable ways of living, and above/beyond/through all: the climate crisis.

Together with Joseph Lindley, lohanna Nicenboim, Laura Forlano, Elisa Giaccardi, and Cristina Zaga I will be co-organizing the More-Than-Human Design in Practice track at DRS 2024. We invite submissions that report on practical experiments in the emergent space of more-than-human design (→ how to submit).
